Blaq for BlackBerry 10 Updated to v1.3.1 – Addresses Twitter SSL Bugs, Improves Battery Performance

Blaq for BlackBerry 10 rolled out its much awaited 1.3 update yesterday. The new added features are fantastic, but unfortunately, some users have run into a few issues with the latest update. According to Blaq’s official blog, yesterday, “Twitter rolled out a mandate on SSL for all API calls,” which ended up breaking a couple of things within the app, namely the follow button, DMs, lists; etc. Today’s v1.3.1 update addresses those issues.

Kisai Labs is still working on a couple of problems that are still affecting some users with regards to Hub integration.

“We’re currently investigating issues with BlackBerry Hub integration. BlackBerry Hub integration issues (duplicate entries) seem to be related to users running on unreleased or old versions of BlackBerry 10.2. Lack of notifications are due to a failure of the application to upgrade the push handler to the background service that has been introduced in 1.3.

If you see an entry for Blaq in hub but you aren’t receiving any notifications, try deleting and reinstalling the app. You do not have to pay for it again if you delete it.
If you see duplicate entries, we’re working with BlackBerry to determine the cause and a possible solution. Ensure your phone is up to date if you are running on an official software release.”

If you’re experiencing any of those issues, rest assured, it’s being worked on. For now, check out the link below to download the latest update.
